Wales has been pretty ridiculous, climate-wise, for the past couple of years. More sun in winter than in summer. The summers are just grey and wet and icky. But we’ve had plenty of days like this: beautiful blue skies, crispy frosty mornings, nice and dry. In my childhood, we’d get more snow but it’d turn to slush and be disgusting – all the worst bits of snow (cold) with all the worst bits of rain (wet). These days, it’s nice and dry, so the snow just evaporates and we get nice dry roads and such. Can’t complain.
Anyway, blue acrylic and some green vegetable-dyed stuff that turns my thumbs green. I got this out of the way pretty early on in the day, it’s only just 3pm, which means I can get on with deciding what to knit next. I really need to do a pot-holder, and a hot water bottle cover, and some socks for myself because I’m going through sock withdrawal.
ETA: Actually, I seem to have ended up writing a pattern…! Check out Barnaby the Sclocket on Rav (free download) and Coriandr.
